UHC. PvP. What do these all mean? We’ve all seen these phrases hundreds of times, but its easy to get lost in the confusion. Basically UHC is a custom gamemode within Minecraft originally thought up by the Mindcrack team.

Essentially it doesn’t allow for regeneration of health and forces you to use items if you want to get any of your precious hearts back. PvP on the other hand is simply just player-vs-player interaction within the game, so when you mix them together you get one of the most popular game types in all of Minecraft history!

Blue Clouds is a beautiful and simple texture pack that feels a lot like an upgraded version of Minecraft’s default textures. Sapphirose 1.14.4 32x PvP UHC Minecraft Texture Packs - MAIN

8. Sapphirose 1.14.4 32x PvP UHC Minecraft Texture Packs

Sapphirose stands out above other packs due to its out-there skybox. Although, don’t think that this is the only thing that makes Sapphirose a great pack to use for PvP. Where the pack really excels is in its new hotbar.

The colours stand out perfectly against the unique backdrop that the pack uses to decorate the entire world, and despite concerns that a more visually interesting skybox might distract from what’s happening in the game, Sapphirose shows you can have your cake and eat it too.

Deep Sleep 1.14.4 128x PvP UHC Minecraft Texture Packs - MAIN

7. Deep Sleep 1.14.4 128x PvP UHC Minecraft Texture Packs

Deep Sleep is a pack that offers super high resolution textures and a fun, bright atmosphere. The high resolution adds a lot of much needed details into the weapon textures, which is great if you play a lot of PvP, as you’ll be staring at the same diamond sword for countless hours in combat.

The weapons now have a much more menacing look to them compared to the simple ones seen in vanilla Minecraft, which really helps sell this pack as a PvP-focused affair. The skybox is also fantastic, and as a whole the pack’s textures are a pleasure to look at.

Azzurro 1.14.4 16x PvP UHC Minecraft Texture Packs - MAIN

6. Azzurro 1.14.4 16x PvP UHC Minecraft Texture Packs

Before we get into one of the most intense texture packs out there, let’s touch on what could be one of the most relaxing. Azzurro is one soothing experience that you won’t regret trying. Although the pack is only 16x16 in its resolution, the confines of Minecraft’s default resolution helps the pack to focus on aspects that are more important.

Ultimately, the pack doesn’t fall into the trap of focusing on overly superfluous details that distract from the fundamentals of Minecraft PvP. We highly recommend this one to player’s seeking an elevated form of vanilla Minecraft.

Boo! This pack is ideal for the spooky holiday season or if you just like to feel Halloween-y all year round. It is certainly one of the more thematic packs on this list, and beware it isn’t for the faint of heart!

The Halloween pack adds a great looking, autumnal-themed skybox to your Minecraft experience, and therefore is probably best played in autumn (but don’t let that stop you!). There’s also a number of spooky details included in the different PvP textures, including a cute jack-o-lantern to replace the normally golden apple.

Seaweed V2 1.14.4 PvP UHC Minecraft Texture Packs

3. Seaweed 1.14.4 V2 PvP UHC Minecraft Texture Packs

Seaweed 1.14.4 has probably one of the funkiest colour palettes we’ve seen in a resource pack. From the name you can probably guess that this pack is full of greens and blues, with a result that leaves every moment feeling like you’re playing under the sea.

The tone of Seaweed is one that is oddly relaxing. Due to the skybox’s soft twilight lighting, you’re given a much calmer experience than that of other packs, and because of this it’s super fun to play some PvP with this pack installed later on in the day. Best used by players who appreciate a little relaxation time, and want their PvP to be calming, despite all of the, you know, fighting.

Blue Whale 16x 1.14.4 PvP UHC Minecraft Texture Packs

2. Blue Whale 1.14.4 16x PvP UHC Minecraft Texture Packs

Once you’ve played this pack, you won’t be wondering where the project gets its name from. Hint: all you need to do is look up to the sky. But apart from its idiosyncratic skybox, the pack also delivers a new set of PvP textures that are A-grade.

Blue Whale’s style is detailed, but it never takes away from what’s going on within the game. The new hotbar, although full of detail with its ornate item selection and its fancy blue gradient, maintains to be effective in combat (allowing you to see what you have selected at any given time) while not detracting from the overall PvP experience.

How to Download UHC PvP Minecraft Texture Packs 1.14.4

Thanks to Minecraft’s simple design, adding new resource packs to your Minecraft game is one of the easiest things to do when you want to add some new custom content. Before anything else please download OptiFine first!

First off though, we recommend downloading and installing Optifine. Some of these resource packs are very high resolution and will make your computer use a lot more processing power than the vanilla Minecraft textures.

So, you’re going to want to get your Minecraft settings in tip top shape with Optifine before installing anything too heavy. Likewise, if you want to use custom skyboxes, you’ll need Optifine.

To start, you need to download your chosen texture pack, which usually comes as a zip file. Once you’ve done that, all you need to do is move the downloaded file into your Minecraft’s ‘resource pack’ folder. Not sure where that folder is?

Then boot up Minecraft and from the game’s main menu select options>resource packs>open resource pack folder. Or, if you don’t want to open Minecraft, you can find the folder through one of the following directories:

OSLocation
Windows%APPDATA%\.minecraft
macOS~/Library/Application Support/minecraft
Linux~/.minecraft

Once you have the resource pack folder open, place the download within it. The next and final step is to go back to Minecraft and make sure to activate the pack through the resource pack menu.
