Minecraft Default Resource Pack for 1.13, 1.12.2, 1.12, 1.11.2, 1.11, 1.10/1.9/1.8 has been published to offer you the very default look of Minecraft. There are lots of Pack makers who recommend using Minecraft Default Resource Pack as base for new creations. However, every custom Resource Pack, even animated ones will need a base to work on. If you’re a pack maker we can strongly recommend you to read our guide on how to create your very own personal pack. But please keep in mind that you’ll need all commercial rights on “your” pack if you want to upload it on file-sharing platforms which pay you out some dollars revenue for reaching millions of downloads. You can find our article on how to make your very own pack here: “How to make your own resource pack” The Minecraft Default Resource Pack is compatible with 1.13, 1.12.2, 1.12, 1.11.2 and most previous versions of the game. However, some versions require you to change some numbers in the packs properties. A guide on how to do this can also be found in this article: “Converting Resource Packs for usage with Minecraft 1.12.2/1.12” Following guides are also recommended: Converting 1.8 Resource Pack to Minecraft 1.12Convert a 1.8 resource pack to 1.9.

How to install Minecraft Resource Packs?

If you’re going to make your very own Resource Pack you  should actually already know how to install Packs in Minecraft. 😉
But if you still don’t know how to do that just look down below, we’ve provided you a short tutorial there.
1. Install the Optifine Mod if not installed yet
2. Run Minecraft (with official launcher).
3. Navigate from “options” > “Resource Packs” > “Open resource packs folder”.
4. Download the specific Resource Pack from the official links
5. Drag and drop the specific Resource Pack File (used to be a .rar/.zip file) into the folder that just opened.
If you don’t want/need to install Optifine just don’t do it.
 6. Now launch the game to choose your pack!
