LMX Shaders 1.15.2 Download

LMX Shaders 1.15.2 is a resource pack for Minecraft 1.15.2 that pushes Minecraft’s visuals to their highest apex. Utilising clever resource pack textures along with the capabilities of high-spec shader packs, LMX really shows what is possible in Minecraft these days. But does this famous pack still hold up in Minecraft 1.15.2? Keep reading to see my review and rundown of this impressive pack.

What is LMX Shaders 1.15.2?

LMX Shaders 1.15 is one of the more powerful resource packs currently available for Minecraft 1.15. It must be noted though that the name is slightly misleading, as the pack doesn’t actually involve shaders of any kind. Instead the name refers to the shader compatibility that the resource pack offers, allowing blocks to glow and reflect realistically with a shader pack of your choice, as long as it supports 3D models, emissive textures, as well as specular and normal maps.

What is LMX Shaders 1.15.2 like to play with?

When you have LMX installed with your favourite shader installed, it’s hard to imagine Minecraft being able to look much better. The pack makes clever use of the potential within the medium of resource packs to deliver a visual style that rivals most triple A titles.

Installation of LMX Shaders 1.15.2 is as easy as any other resource pack, however, to get the desired results of this powerful pack, you’ll need to install a shader pack on top of it. Not all shader packs will work, so you’ll need to trial a few of your favourites out to see which work best with LMX.

The pack itself doesn’t do very much without the shaders, honestly. And this has to be my biggest complaint. New hi-res textures aren’t given to every block in the game, which can cause a large amount of contrast when default textured blocks are next to high-resolution ones. This is much less apparent when playing with a shader enabled, though.

When everything is running smoothly, LMX Shaders 1.15.2 packs in an impressive amount of quality for a pack that appears so simple on the surface. It’s amazing how at this point in Minecraft’s life the community is only getting better at delivering accessible custom content that continues to amaze us all. Screenshots look more like 3D renders than pictures from actual gameplay with this pack enabled, which obviously comes at a cost of performance, and those of you with lower-end PCs will mostly likely struggle to run this pack with a shader even on the lowest settings.

If you’re after only the highest quality Minecraft visual experience to accurately emulate real life lighting and other visual effects, there’s very few that match the immense sense of quality delivered by LMX Shaders 1.15.2.

What are the pros of LMX Shaders 1.15.2?

✔Looks fantastic

✔High amount of realism and dynamic effects

✔High production value and quality

What are the cons of LMX Shaders 1.15.2?

X Requires separate shader for significant results

X Resource pack textures don’t cover all blocks

X Not recommended for lower-end computers
