This pack brings the maritime soaked world of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker into the realm of Minecraft. It’s an amalgamation of two distinct Minecrafft worlds that works better than you first might expect.

Wind Waker Edition Texture Pack 1.15.2 is a resource pack for Minecraft 1.15.2 that brings the whimsically wet world of Zelda: Wind Waker to the blocky world of Minecraft.

What is Wind Waker Edition Texture Pack 1.15.2 like to play with?

I have to admit that I don’t have the biggest connection to the Zelda series. The furthest I got with Wink Waker was a couple of hours in before eventually leaving it to never be picked up again. It’s a series that I have a lot of admiration for, but have just never found myself obsessed with.

Despite that, I have always loved the cell-shaded art style of wind waker. So to see that I was covering a Minecraft/Wind Waker mashup pack, I was very excited. And for the most part, that excitement was warranted.

Right off the bat, this pack has some beautifully stylistic textures. A lot of the content in this pack manages to evoke the aesthetic of the Zelda series whilst remaining faithful to Minecraft’s distinctive style. The colours are very bright, if not a bit garish at times, so the atmosphere is kept bright and happy, which is very intune with Zelda’s style. What’s more, some of the more adventurous designs I find to be great stylistic improvements over the originals.

My only concern is that if you’re not a fan of the Zelda series or Wind Waker, there might not be enough here to keep you entertained. Many of the blocks are quite stylised and different to the vanilla set of textures, so not many will be won over by this pack’s style as it can easily make worlds and builds look very different.

That said, if you’re a big fan of Zelda and a big fan of Minecraft, you really can’t go wrong with this pack. For an authentic stoll into the world of Hyrule, this pack offers a quality Zelda experience in your favourite block-based game.
