Is Voyager Shaders 1.17.1 for Minecraft worth the download?
You bet! Voyager Shaders is a powerhouse when it comes to improving the way Minecraft looks. If you’ve been on the lookout for a shader pack that adds a certain cinematic look to your favorite block building game, then your search (or voyage!) is over.
Voyager Shaders employs a fancy lighting system, weather effects, motion blur, dynamic foliage, and so much more to make the Minecraft world feel truly alive. What’s more is that it also has native support for mods like Biome O Plenty, Conquest Reforged, Dynamic Trees, and Streams river.
The true impact of Voyager Shaders really has to be seen to be believed. While screenshots are impressive, there’s nothing like exploring your favorite maps, builds, and servers with such a stunning array of visual effects to transform the way the game feels.
Unfortunately, like all shader packs, Voyager Shaders can really make your PC work hard. Those of you with not so great PCs may want to give this one a pass as it can be a real beast to get running. Even after extensive tweaking in Optifine’s shader settings menu, you may find that the power of Voyager is just too much to get consistently solid performance in moment-to-moment gameplay.
That said, Voyager is one of the best shader packs out there. Period. Even if you can’t run it smoothly during gameplay, it makes a fantastic tool for screenshots and builds showcases, and it comes highly recommended as the top of its class.
What’s good about Voyager Shaders 1.17.1 for Minecraft:
✔ Jaw-dropping visuals
✔ Beautiful custom skyboxes
✔ Amazing dynamic effects
What’s not good about Voyager Shaders 1.17.1 for Minecraft:
X Very difficult to run smoothly
X Not recommended for low or mid-tier computer setups
X Does require Optifine to run
