In this case, I’m equally a sucker for VanillaPlus 2.0 Minecraft Texture Pack 1.15.2. This is definitely a pack that deserves the title of faithful, and the description of ‘vanilla plus’ couldn’t be more than apt. First off, many of the textures are left untouched by the pack, but where the draw is can be found in the myriad of extra details and tweaks that the pack offers.

One such change can be found in the game’s selection of swords and tools. Although Minecraft’s toolset is incredibly iconic at this point, this pack gives them just enough of an improvement to warrant the installation. These new textures are simple and uncomplicated, yet bring a whole new set of character to the items we use constantly during gameplay.

New detail can also be found in blocks such as leaves, which now have textures in a sort of faux 3D style, giving them a much more bushy and organic look compared to the base game’s flat offerings. Mobs and other game creatures have been tweaked too, giving them more interesting looks that still manage to maintain the same intrigue of the vanilla versions.
