Lots of gamers, many of them of the Minecraft playing variety, will be taking time off to self-isolate over the next month or so. With all that spare time, Minecrafters need a lot of extra content to keep them entertained.

Vanilla+ helps alleviate the boredom of crusty old standard Minecraft, and the inevitable cabin fever that is to be expected with self-isolation. Working with the stuff that makes vanilla Minecraft work, Vanilla+ builds on the format we all know and love, and helps it to achieve even greater and blockier heights.

Is Vanilla+ 1.15.2 Default Texture Pack fun to play with?

If you are a fan of all things vanilla Minecraft, then there’s really not much to dislike about Vanilla+ 1.15.2. Combining everything there is to love about that classic Minecraft experience with fresh new textures, this pack adds just enough to keep things interesting on those night-long gaming binges.

Lots of your classic Minecraft items and blocks have seen a visual upgrade in this pack, and the range of new additions makes it a bit more comprehensive than a lot of vanilla packs. For example, essentially all of the game’s mobs have been given new textures, oftentimes relaying the classic look of each individual mob, while still making things visually interesting for long-time players.

Other additions include new chests and a spooky red nether portal. There’s even animated textures for water and lava buckets, redstone torches, ender eyes, furnaces, and many more!

I won’t spoil much else, so you’ll need to check this pack out for yourself if you want to find out more.

The only major gripe I have with this pack is that it seems to be very temperamental. I had many graphical issues at times, some of which were never resolved. Hopefully the creator can fix these issues soon so that we can enjoy this pack glitch and error free.

With all that said, this pack is a great option for fans of vanilla looking for a splash of variety in their usual Minecraft routine. Check it out!
