TreeCapitator 1.14.4 Minecraft Mod Review
The TreeCapitator 1.14.4 Minecraft datapack is certainly one of the easiest and most straightforward tree cutting mods out there. You can download it like any other datapack, add it to your world, and you’re good to go. You’ll then be able to break entire trees right away. By default, when you break one block on a tree, all blocks above it will break too.
If you decide to break a block further up the tree, then the blocks below it will not break, and you’ll then need to break those remaining blocks one by one. This is because the TreeCapitator 1.14.4 Minecraft Mod determines whether to break blocks by finding out whether there are leaves above the tree or not. If there are leaves above the tree, they’ll break, otherwise it can work a little unexpectedly.
You can also customize whether you want the leaves to break and drop loot as well, or just disappear completely. By default, leaves won’t drop loot, but you can change this by typing /trigger TreeCapitator and then clicking on the setting for leaves.
If you use this command, you can also choose to determine which axes give you the ability to cut down entire trees by breaking a single block. Just click on each option to turn it on and off. This could be useful if you want this feature to be a little more challenging to get. For example, in a whitelisted Minecraft server, it may be a little crazy if everybody can break down trees with wooden axes, so you could change it to be iron or above, or even just diamond.
I really like the TreeCapitator 1.14.4 Minecraft Mod because it gives you a lot of control over what settings you can include. Another setting even allows you to alternate between TreeCapitator’s settings and vanilla settings by sneaking. By default, if you sneak, you’ll cut each log one by one like default, but you’re able to turn this option off.
Personally, I think it’s good to keep this setting because it will allow you to cut into blocks when you want to, instead of being forced to cut down an entire tree all at once. Unfortunately, there isn’t an option to cut down trees with your hands, so that would be a nice addition and should be quite easy to add.
If you want further control, you can edit the config file to change which tools can break down the trees.
That’s pretty much all there is to say about the TreeCapitator mod in Minecraft 1.14.4. It’s a very straightforward datapack with very little issues or complaints. Below we’ve provided a quick overview of some of the pros and cons. Below that you can find out how to install this mod.
