What is OLEDcraft 1.16 Texture Pack?

OLED is a GUI pack. And like many GUI packs, it basically revolves around honing in on Minecraft’s many, many different screens, menus and other GUI elements. It’s fairly basic, even for a GUI pack, but its steadfast and faithful, and it always comes highly recommended if you want some no nonsense visual customization for your version of Minecraft.

Heck yeah! OLEDcraft is the perfect option for some 1.16 GUI rejuvenation. If you’re a big fan of changing up your Minecraft’s look, this is one surefire way to shake things up a bit.

The pack itself is fairly simple. All of the in-game GUI elements (block screens, menus, interactive buttons) have undergone a bit of a makeover. Rather than staying with the base game’s light grey, and rather boring graphic user interface design, OLEDcraft goes in the complete opposite direction by adopting a cool and sophisticated dark theme.

I’ve noticed a lot of websites, software and even videogames have been offering ‘dark modes’ in their graphical settings. A lot of people use their computers late into the night, so it makes sense to offer something that won’t blind you from the total barrage of white pixels on screen. Now we can recreate the same thing, but in our favourite block-based building game. Hurray!

I really recommend OLED to anyone who has in interest in streamlining their Minecraft visuals. It’s a simple pack, yes, but it’s incredibly versatile and can be easily stacked on top of or used in tandem with other resource packs that you find useful. It’s simple, sweet and most of all pretty good looking. What more could you ask for in a GUI resource pack? The answer is: nothin’.

How to install OLEDcraft 1.16 Texture Pack

Installation of OLEDcraft is super easy. Even if you’ve never installed a resource pack before, I’ve included a guide just down below so you’ll be able to play Minecraft with a dark-themed GUI system with the best of us. Check it out and you’ll be playing in no time at all.

First, download OLEDcraft and save the zip file to a location of your choice. Once that’s done, make your way to Minecraft’s game files and open up ‘resourcepacks’. To find this folder easily you can go to the game’s option menu and navigate to resourcepacks>open resource pack folder. The folder can also be accessed any time by going to one of the following file directories:

To install OLED, simply place the zip file from earlier into the resource pack folder. Finally, go to Minecraft’s resource pack screen and activate the pack.
