If you hadn’t already guessed, its aim is to bring the worlds of Mario and Minecraft together! With authentic colours, textures and even sounds, this is the perfect pack for games who love both of the biggest gaming icons beginning with the letter ‘M’.

What is Minecraft – Super Mario Bros. Edition Resource Pack 1.15 like to play with?

I think it’s easy to not expect alot from Minecraft – Super Mario Bros. Edition Resource Pack 1.15. That was definitely my first thought. I originally assumed that the pack would be full of half-hearted and underdeveloped textures to blandly reference random Mario iconography, but boy was I wrong about that!

What we are instead treated to is an absolutely transformative resource pack that truly delivers on its promise to bring Mario to Minecraft. Rather than just simply put recognisable things from Mario games everywhere, the creator has taken the time to use appropriate retro Mario textures to replace Minecraft content. So wooden blocks still look wooden and stone blocks still look stoney. The end result is a resource pack that feels like an actual world, rather than the original Minecraft one with things stuck on top.

The colour pallete is also excellent, and does a lot of heavy lifting to make the pack feel authentically Mario-esque. The colour is bright yet soft and harkens back to the classic days of retro Mario games back in the 90s.

The favourite part of the pack for me has to be the sounds. I love it when creators use custom sounds in their packs, and it never sees enough focus. But not in this pack, no sir! Here we have classic Mario sounds everywhere you go. Retro bleeps and bloops that fill your heart with nostalgia and help to further cement the overall Mario experience into Minecraft.

So that’s it. I can’t give much more of a glowing review. If you love Mario and Minecraft, do yourself a favour and install this pack right now! You will not regret it.
