This house build is a classy Minecraft construction that houses a ton of amenities, space and general fanciness that will have any Minecraft player feeling prosperous but prepared for some survival.

What is Modern Mountain like to play with?

Modern Mountain is a Minecraft setup that gives you everything you’ll ever need to survive, and with a degree of luxury and modernism that is totally unique.

The house has a number of rooms to explore and make use of. The main hall of the building houses the kitchen as well as the front entryway. This section also features the house’s giant window tower, which breaks up the building’s complicated design and allows the house to breathe. Following through the entrance leads us into the open and spacious kitchen.

The kitchen is fully kitted and has a ton of contemporary flare. The kitchen features a bold, open fire cooker with modern sitting arrangements as well as eating areas.

The house’s aesthetic is composed of a very selective colour palette, namely, a yellow, beige and terracotta colour scheme that keeps the build from having too much of an outdated appearance. This would pair well with a modernly styled resource pack and some shaders to add a realistic feel.

The house comes with a number of amenities. There’s a mining area, secret passageway, viewing area, spare bedrooms as well as a wide and spacious host bedroom with a large bed. Within the bedroom there has also been the inclusion of a custom built fish tank that even acts as a functional fishing pond that allows you to farm from the comfort of your home.

Speaking of the fish tank, this house also includes several other water features, including a functioning shower and cascading pillars of water as you enter through the front.

The house is well lit with sunlight pouring through the large main window coupled with the many strategically placed glowstone lanterns dotted within and around the property. This prevents the house being swarmed by the elements, however, the build could use some defensive walls or fences to make the house feel a bit more secure from hostile creatures.

In summary, this house is a luxurious and affluent looking abode with plenty of things to play with. Its super modern design is hard to say no to, and I’m sure even the most medievally-inclined Minecraft players (myself included) will want to check out this impressively designed mountain home.

How do I install Modern Mountain?

The first step is to download the Modern Mountain map. When the download has finished, export the contents of the zip file to a location of your choice. Once it’s done exporting, find the unzipped file folder and copy it to the directory for your Minecraft saves. You’ll need to move the “Modern Mountain” file into one of the following directories:

Once it’s there, all you need to do is select the Modern Mountain map in the singleplayer save menu.

If you want to use this build for a multiplayer server, you’ll need to find the location of you server world files. This will vary depending on the server software that you use. Once found though, just replace the world folder with the Modern Mountain one.
