What is Minecraft Forge 1.15.2
Minecraft Forge is a Mod API. Unfortunately, as Minecraft still hasn’t received any official vanilla support for mods (looking at you Dinnerbone), the fanatic Minecraft community has taken it upon themselves to curating mod loader projects for years.
Forge essentially allows you to load mods onto a single Minecraft profile. Rather than having separate or potentially clashing installations of Minecraft mods, Forge allows you to simply place new mods into your installation of Minecraft, resulting in an easily customizable experience where you can add or remove mods in a hassle free manner.
Forge is a great way to make Minecraft mod installation clean and simple, and with the massive popularity of the mod loader, most mod creators make their mods Forge compatible. This means there’s a big library of mods for you to try out, with mods being added each and every day. Using Forge also allows you to see tons of details of the mods you use, including mod creators, version number and mod updates. It’s a much cleaner way of managing mods, and thanks to a dedicated teams, Forge receives constant work and support from the developers.
What can you do with Minecraft Forge 1.15.2 installed?
A better question might be: what can’t you do with Minecraft 1.15.2 installed? The sky truly is the limit here. If you can think of it, there’s probably a Minecraft mod of it.
From the out-of-this-world craziness of rocket ships, laser guns and black holes, to the destructive power of bombs, missiles and other explosives, Minecraft mods offer players incredibly unique experiences in their favourite games. Add new mobs, discover new biomes, fly, sink, swim, build with new blocks, fight new foes, create machinery, travel with new modes of transport. The world is your blocky oyster!
The only thing to note with Forge is that it works almost as a three way system. By that I mean that three different parts need to be compatible for the mods to work. Your version of Minecraft, version of Forge and version of the mod you want to play all need to be the same. To use older mods, you must use the version they were intended for. Likewise, for new Minecraft updates, you’ll need to wait for the creator to update their mod.
