What is Minecraft Dark Mode 1.15.1 Texture Pack?
Minecraft Dark Mode 1.15.1 Texture Pack is a very focused pack that aims to provide players with a dark mode within Minecraft. Dark modes have increased in popularity over the 2010s, and now we’re in 2020 it’s about time that Minecraft got its own!
What is Minecraft Dark Mode 1.15.1 Texture Pack like to play with?
As far as I can tell, Minecraft Dark Mode 1.15.1 Texture Pack simply changes the graphical user interface within Minecraft. And after sifting through the pack’s many files, the evidence seems to point to that as well. There’s tons of files in this pack, but after comparing between vanilla Minecraft, I can’t see any noticeable difference.
Basically, Minecraft Dark Mode 1.15.1 Texture Pack turns down the brightness of default Minecraft’s bright GUI in favour of a more moodier alternative. The pack does this by altering the textures for the various GUI screens in the game’s files. Rather than use the default light grey that borders on white, this pack introduces a darker grey that is easier on the eyes and is a lot less in-your-face.
While it’s definitely a positive change (I’ve never been a fan of bright white game screens or GUI), I have to ask if I could recommend this pack to a wide amount of people. And although the pack does its stated goal just fine and doesn’t affect the game in any negative way, I don’t think that I can.
Don’t get me wrong, Minecraft Dark Mode 1.15.1 Texture Pack would be great combined with a lot of other smaller resource packs in order to create a very personalized set of visuals for Minecraft, but for a lot of typical players, they might find Minecraft Dark Mode 1.15.1 Texture Pack to be too lacking in content to warrant an installation.
Ultimately that’s the big decision here. If you’re a player that is really into tweaking and altering your visuals so they are just right, then I’d say go ahead and install this pack right away. If you’re more of a player that likes big packs that deliver unique experiences, then you might be better off checking out some other packs that we’ve covered.
