You love video games, right? Of course, you do, you’re reading a Minecraft resource pack review, afterall. Well, what could be a better way of showing your love for the medium of video games than by playing Minecraft with a classically-tinged 8-bit resource pack? ‘Not much’ is what I say! Take a look below to find out about this ‘itty-bitty’ resource pack!
What is FPS Boosting 8-bitCraft 2 1.16 Texture Pack?
8-bitCraft 2 1.16 is a resource pack that takes us back in time to videogame years of old—back when graphics were small, roughly defined, and made up of a handful of pixels! Some of history’s most classic video games were spawned in this period of time, and the look of the restricted technology has become an art style all of its own.
With 8-bit becoming its own unique artistic choice, it’s not too surprising to see it crop up in a game like Minecraft. And while plenty of players want to make Minecraft as photo-realistic as possible, some players are headed in the opposite direction!
Is FPS Boosting 8-bitCraft 2 1.16 Texture Pack fun to play with?
You bet! FPS Boosting 8-bitCraft 2 1.16 Texture Pack is a resource pack made with all of Minecraft’s strengths in mind. Very few packs have such a compatible nature with Minecraft’s idiosyncratic blockiness, and it’s very refreshing to see a pack take its place in the game so comfortably.
With this pack installed, the first thing you’ll probably notice is the distinct texture style. Cutting Minecraft’s usual resolution by half, the pack has to cram as much detail it can with 8×8 pixel canvases. It sounds tricky, but the pack creator does a fantastic job at replicating all of the game’s iconic blocks and items.
Aesthetically, this pack has a strong faithful approach to Minecraft textures. If you’re familiar with the game’s default look, you won’t feel too out of the water with 8-bitCraft 2. Many of the game’s blocks look relatively untouched thanks to some clever pixel art artistry.
What’s more is that all of the positives that come with this pack also come with another massive advantage: performance. Thanks to the lower resolution, the game gets a fantastic upgrade in regards to FPS.
If you love Minecraft but would prefer a cleaner and more condensed version of its blocky art style, then I can highly recommend 8-bitCraft 2 1.16. Not only will it transform how you see the game, but it’ll also give you a nice boost in performance too! That’s a pretty great deal if you ask me.
What’s great about FPS Boosting 8-bitCraft 2 1.16 Texture Pack?:
✔ Very simple aesthetic that is beautifully executed
