Is Faithful 32x 1.15.2 / 1.15 fun to use?

Like I mentioned above, 1.15.1 / 1.15 really shines on its ability to upgrade Minecraft’s visuals without detracting from its original intent. It’s a fantastic way to change things up a bit without having to settle for garish or somewhat bonkers approaches to resource pack design. Initially, you might not even notice a lot of the changes made here, for the most part the more common blocks have been left relatively unchanged sans a small resolution face lift.

Blocks like cobblestone I absolutely love. Cobblestone can look very ugly in the base textures, so these are a very welcome improvement in my eyes. Instead of the grainy look in the default textures, cobblestone is much more rounded and sports a far more realistic, countryside kind of look. These slight changes come at the cost of increasing the resolution size. Minecraft’s default texture resolution is fairly small, so a lot of extra details are needed to fill in the extra space.

Conversely, my least favourite blocks are wooden planks. Despite being my favourite to work with in the game this pack doesn’t really suit my preference to how Minecraft wood should look. Planks now have a much more grainy look to them. This is admittedly more accurate to real life, but it doesn’t suit the aesthetic of Minecraft at all in my opinion, and could honestly do with a bit less information going on visually to make them more pleasing to look at.
