This mod is essentially exactly the same as Minecraft’s default alchemy system, but includes dozens of new potion options to play with and discover.
The new potions introduced by Extra Alchemy are great. Let’s be honest, the vanilla potions, apart from a few, are a bit boring. Mods are a great way at rectifying this issue, and this mod is one such example. Take the new crumbling potion for instance—a potion that effectively digs the ground beneath your feet, allowing you to simply stomp your way through the underground mines and caverns of the Overworld. Or take a look at the mod’s potion of return, which effectively works as a form of time travel. Awesome!
The feel and aesthetic of this mod pack is very faithful to vanilla Minecraft. The textures are on-point and even the potion effects aren’t too strange that they wouldn’t fit into Minecraft in a hypothetical future update.
The pack also has a few options and tweaks for a more impressive alchemy experience. One of my favourite options is the one that allows brewing stands to be fueled by fire sources. This is an awesome feature that really immerses you into the game’s alchemy system.

Firstly, we’ll be using Fabric to install this mod since it is intended for the Fabric loader. If you don’t have Fabric, simply install the version for your preferred version of Minecraft and create a Minecraft Launcher.
