What is Easy Blocks Texture Pack 1.15 like to play with?

I loved my time with Easy Blocks Texture Pack 1.15. As many will know, I am a very big supporter of simplistic resource packs. Some of my favourite packs follow the ethos that sometimes less is more, and that some of the biggest artistic decisions you can make is to know when to keep things uncomplicated.

Now let’s talk blocks: the block textures in this pack follow in the footsteps of many similarly styled resource packs. The creator doesn’t waste time with trying to achieve a ‘realistic’ final result, allowing for greater artistic freedom and maximisation of the aesthetic the pack is working towards. Because of this, natural blocks such as grass, leaves and water exist together beautifully and create a stunning pastoral backdrop, while lithic blocks such as stone brick leave a ton of impact when viewing big city landscapes. The colour pallete is very reminiscent of the default textures and gives across a very ‘faithful’ pack vibe, allowing the pack to slip very naturally in place of the vanilla set of textures.

The pack makes heavy use of simple block-based designs, which allows for much easier exploration as the world’s materials look much more segregated and organised. The downside for me was that some of these square designs weren’t to my taste. Specifically the ore blocks come to mind as some of the lesser appealing textures from a design perspective. For those of you who aren’t into simple packs, Easy Blocks Texture Pack 1.15 might not change your opinion. Though, if you were to ever take the chance on a simplistically styled pack, Easy Blocks Texture Pack 1.15 is a fantastic one to try out.

What are the pros of Easy Blocks Texture Pack 1.15?

✔ Transforms Minecraft’s default style into a much simpler alternative

✔ Lower resolution leaves performance unaffected

✔ Textures are well-designed and beautifully coloured

What are the cons of Easy Blocks Texture Pack 1.15?

X I wasn’t a fan of the textures for particular blocks

X Not recommended for players who like high resolution packs

X Cartoonish art style not appropriate for some players
