DePixel makes a concerted effort to retain the same signifies are characteristics of the vanilla textures so that the pack feels like an upgrade, rather than a whole new thing all together. I enjoyed a lot of the new textures for the most part.

However, some specific blocks (cobblestone and logs to name 2) just aren’t my cup of tea. They are hardly offensive in their appearance, but for me they seem to have too much going on visually when compared to many of the packs more simplistic textures. This is a theme that carries throughout the pack, with more detailed textures looking more like 90s adventure game graphics than a modern game.
