Baby Mode 1.15 is a resource pack for Minecraft 1.15 made up of simple, blocky textures that are perfect for young players, or players who are just young at heart. Swapping out the game’s default textures for more pleasant and kid oriented designs, this pack transforms the game into a soft and cuddly wonderland. But does this pack hold up with its child-friendly art style? Or in the light of changing Minecraft’s original textures, does it throw the baby out with the bathwater? Keep reading to find out.
What is Baby Mode 1.15?
Baby Mode 1.15 doesn’t waste its time trying to mimic real life or imposing an edgy angsty outward appearance, instead it has the polar opposite goal: to make Minecraft as cute as possible. It does this by adding just a sprinkle of cuteness over anything and everything included in the game. Pigs covered in mud? Check. Bright, eye-catching colours? Check. Villagers turned into cat people? Uh, check?
What is Baby Mode 1.15 like to use?
I had a fun time playing with Baby Mode 1.15 during my short Minecraft playthrough. I often find that too many resource packs are too harsh on the eyes, a result of trying to fit too much detail into the little canvas that Minecraft offers to resource pack artists, and the unfortunate consequence is that lots of packs end up in a hazy mess where you’d be better off just using the default textures.
Not here though, Baby Mode 1.15 seeks to eliminate all the noise and harsh textures and turn Minecraft into an eyeball massage. Everywhere you go you’ll notice simple and pleasant designs that will keep your spirits high and your eyes equally rested.
As the name suggests, this pack is great for younger Minecraft players who can play better with a resource pack that is brightly lit and makes use of bold, distinct lines. Though, don’t be put off if you’re older. I’m certainly no baby I can assure you, and I had a great time strolling around my Mincraft world with this pack installed. The visuals and overall artstyle keeps everything feeling light and wholesome. Even when you’re in the deepest of diamond mines or find yourself battling Ghasts in the Nether, this pack will light the way and keep things fun and lighthearted.
Overall, this is a great, cutesy resource pack that will help to keep your spirits high even on the spookiest of Minecraft adventures. Perfect if you’ve got young Minecraft players around, if you’re a young player yourself, or if you simply enjoy a wholesome resource pack. So get out there and download this pack ya big baby!
