This texture pack is a Faithful 1.8.9 Edit which is designed to make the game look better for PvP without touching any of the major themes in the game. It retains the base color scheme that the diamond armor was designed for originally. But, with a special twist to make it more appealing for PvP action.
This texture pack is a nice sight. It improves the overall immersion of the game and should make you feel like you want to spend thousands of hours of Minecraft again. It runs on the default 16x pixel resolution so you should not have any issues running this texture pack.

Apatite 16x PvP Texture Pack 1.8.9 has a very nice twist to the common Faithful 16x PvP Edit. It does not remove any of the default color schemes and visualizations. However, once you install it you feel a different vibe as the changed look of the armor and weapons make it more suitable for PvP.
In terms of performance, it runs on 16x so there should be absolutely ZERO issues with FPS. In fact it could even potentially improve your FPS when combined with the proper settings from Optifine. We highly recommend this texture pack to anyone who wants to focus on PvP.
