AMETHYST is a great PVP pack. It’s a fantastic option for those of you who love PVP, vanilla Minecraft and a tasteful combination of the two. I really enjoyed it, is what I’m saying. Essentially, this pack is a very tasteful, faithful-style PVP pack that doesn’t ruin its visuals with poorly-executed attempts at high resolution textures.

If you’re into PVP packs, you’ll know what to expect from a pack like AMETHYST. All of the usual PVP suspects are here. The new sword retextures are short but deadly. They might be unassuming at first, but the texture design for the swords has a great 16×16, RPG-inspired take that really works well with vanilla Minecraft. 

Even the items and tools that are already 16×16 in the vanilla Minecraft set of textures, this pack still adds some more detail and textural improvements to help heighten your overall PVP experience. From buckets of lava to potions, all of the game’s vital PVP tools stand out amongst the rest of the game that aren’t related to the PVP community.

The colour scheme of the pack is something I really enjoy. The armour set is a beautiful amethyst colour (hence the name). I found it to be really tasteful and it fit in incredibly well into the established Minecraft formula. Although it might not be for every single PVP player, lots of you will find something of value here.

How to install AMETHYST 16x – FPS BOOST 1.8 / 1.8.9 UHC PvP Texture Pack

Are you obsessed with PVP? Do you love well-made resource packs? Well now is your chance to combine those two loves with the fantastic pack that is AMETHYST.

First, download AMETHYST as a zip file and keep it somewhere you can access it later. Once that’s done, navigate to the file directory Minecraft uses to store its game files and open up the folder called ‘resourcepacks’. If you don’t know where to find this, simply open up Minecraft and make your way to options>resource packs>open resource pack folder. The folder you need will then open up. You can also find the folder by going to the relevant file directory:

With the resource pack open, place the AMETHYST file inside of it. Lastly, go to Minecraft’s resource pack menu and make sure to enable the resource pack as active for play.
