As I just mentioned, Trans Texture Pack 1.15 is a resource pack focused on giving individuals the option of displaying their trans pride or allegiance to the trans community. Swapping out some of the game’s original textures for ones adorned with colours of the trans flag, this pack is a fantastic way to show some inclusivity in the vast world of Minecraft.

What is Trans Texture Pack 1.15 like to play with?

Trans Texture Pack 1.15 isn’t a particularly complex or mind-blowing pack to play with, but its aims are a little more humble than that. All this pack really seeks to do is to give trans players or trans ally players, the option to show their pride and support through their favourite creative block-building game. There are packs similar to this one that also set out with associated goals, such as packs for the LGBTQ+ community as a whole, or packs for each and every section of the LGBT rainbow.

As the pack is semi-vanilla, meaning that it only changes some particular textures and leaves the rest alone, I wasn’t expecting very much content when trying this pack out. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the solid amount of trans-related content that the creator had added to the base game. Typically in packs like this one, iconic blocks and items such as diamond and gold will see major changes. This is true for this pack, but I was happy to see that the creator took the time to cover more than just the bare minimum to warrant a resource pack.

Yet, its the lack of content which is probably the pack’s biggest downside. It was great to see blocks like the TNT block don the trans flag colours, and to see gold armour transformed into a proud, pink powerhouse, but ultimately I was left wanting more. And although the pack offers more content than packs that have similar goals, I hope to see the creator pour more time into expanding this pack further, as it makes a great foundation.
