Sbeve 1.15 is a resource pack for Minecraft 1.15 that celebrates the most exciting addition of the recent update—bees! This cute and funny pack changes the new bee mob into tiny flying Steves, or as the pack likes to call them, sbeves. Keep reading to see my review and rundown of the perfect pack to show to all of your friends. And who knows, we might just get to the bottom of what all the buzz is about this pack.
What is Sbeve 1.15?
Sbeve 1.15 is a simple resource pack that transforms the new Minecraft bees into buzzing insect Steves. With a custom Steve/bee skin, this pack is hilarious and a great way to ring in the new Minecraft update and the introduction of our yellow and black, buzzing friends.
What is Sbeve 1.15 like to play with?
As mentioned earlier, Sbeve 1.15 is a simple pack, with simple construction. All the pack really does is swap out the texture for the new bee mob and replace it with a custom Bee Steve skin. Simple setup, but hilarious execution! As this pack doesn’t change much, the performance and framerate of the game is kept the same, which is always a positive. Likewise, the creator has gone to the effort of emulating Minecraft’s original art style when creating the Bee Steve skin, which is great news for players who love vanilla and faithful resource packs.
The texture itself for the new Bee Steve is great, and it got a real chuckle out of me. I particularly enjoyed the bees tiny Steve clothes and big bug-eyed expression on their faces. It’s a really cute final result! Though, I can’t help but feel a little extra detail could have been added. It would have been nice to have some extra custom sound effects added to make the bees more unique. Perhaps high pitched Steve sounds from Minecraft classic? Or even custom Bee Steve hives and Steve honey? That would make the pack really stand out. Though, I understand that 1.15 is still in its infancy, so there’s plenty of time for further development!
So that’s all, really. A simple pack with a simple goal but with a great end result. Funny and cute at the same time, Sbeve 1.15 proves that not all packs have to be massive creative endeavours. However, there’s still promise and potential here, and I look forward to seeing if this pack continues to be updated into the future.
What’s good about Sbeve 1.15?
✔Funny and great use of new Minecraft content
✔New texture is faithful to vanilla Minecraft textures
✔Runs well and doesn’t leave any impact on game performance
What’s not-so-good about Sbeve 1.15?
X The pack only consists of a single minor change
X The pack is a little bit of a gimmick
X Would be nice to see more content developed into the future as time goes on
