Ocean View Modern Mansion is an amazingly constructed Minecraft mansion that is heavily inspired by modern luxury properties that only the ultra rich could ever dream to own. Expertly designed and executed, this is a build for the architectural aficionados out there.

What is the Ocean View Modern Mansion?

Ocean View is a Minecraft setup that gives you everything you’ll ever need to survive, and with a degree of luxury and modernism that is totally unique. This place has everything. A tennis court, helicopter pad, swimming pool, you name it!

The general design of the mansion is gorgeous, and it feels like a blocky snapshot of some million dollar property in the US. The layout also feels realistic, with the mansion stretching confidently over the landscape. Unlike some maps, the house is even placed on the top of beautiful scenery. The world generation that surrounds the mansion feels natural and picturesque, and helps to sell the idea that this map exists in the modern day.

The rooms in the building are large and spacious. The flow of the rooms feels natural and genuinely like a real life house. I did feel that the decor was rather empty and some rooms felt as if they could use something to inject a bit of excitement into them. Other rooms however, such as the bathroom, were great examples of clever Minecraft creativity (who doesn’t love a working Minecraft shower?).

The details are well balanced and chosen carefully. I’m usually not a fan of people trying to recreate complex modern technology in Minecraft—especially on a small scale—but I can’t help but be charmed by this map’s cleverly designed helicopter and other bits I won’t spoil here.

The only real issue with this build is that in its current state it isn’t the best for a faithful survival experience and it could use some dedicated farming and mining areas. With that said, there’s plenty of land both in and outside of the property to get creative with, and with some insightful planning, you could turn this modern mansion into a totally sustainable abode.

How do I install Ocean View Modern Mansion?

The first (and most obvious) step is to download the map. When you’ve got it downloaded use a file extractor such as Winrar to export the contents of the file to somewhere on your computer. Once that’s done, you need to move the unzipped world folder to one of the following directories:
