Minecraft Castle – Medieval Village with Castle is what the name says, a medieval village with a castle! This Minecraft map is a fun map you can explore.
Medieval Village with Castle is a Minecraft castle map that is exactly what the name says; a medieval village with a castle. You spawn into the village, and a castle is seen on the mountain in the distance.
When you first spawn into Medieval Village with Castle, you will spawn on a cobblestone platform with a church right behind you. The church is small yet detailed, you are able to tell exactly what the creator was trying to make.
The inside of the church can also be accessed, there you will find rows of pews and stained glass windows. On the cobblestone platform outside of the church, there is a small chicken coop and a merchant stand.
As you cross the bridge into a different section of the village, you will see some more decorated buildings which seem to be houses. The inside of these houses are all fully built and can be explored!
Scattered around the village you will find multiple large wheat farms. You may also find some animals wandering about. In the middle of the village, you will find a very detailed building that seems to be a large house.
On the edge of the village, in front of a large wheat farm, you will find a detailed windmill. This windmill is very well built, but, the inside is empty.
Following the main path up the hill, you will find the castle of Medieval Village and Castle. The castle is made out of stone bricks and cobblestone and it sits upon a mountain. Inside the castle gates, you will find a few small crops, a well, and horse stables.
There are even a few watchtowers you can climb up to the top of. An armory can be accessed through an iron door. The castle itself is quite small and can be fully explored within a few minutes. The castle is not as detailed or big as I thought it should be, I wish it would have been bigger.
Overall, I think the village was very well built, but I wish the castle would have been better. The village was very detailed and I liked how each of the buildings was fully built on the inside as well, which sometimes is not found on other maps.
The castle, however, lacked detail and was very small. The castle almost did not seem like a castle at all, as there was barely any inside space, only a small tower that had a bed at the top. This map would be a good map if you wanted to explore something in a small amount of time.
This map is for Minecraft 1.14.4.
Pros of Medieval Village with Castle:
- The insides of buildings were complete, which gives the map more to explore.
- Most of the buildings were pretty detailed and nice to look at.
- It seems like the creator put a lot of work into this map.
Cons of Medieval Village with Castle:
- The castle itself was very small and lacked details.
- The whole castle seemed to be built with the same type of blocks which does not give it definition or dimension.
- The map would not take long to explore.
How do I install Minecraft Castles
Download the map file and, using a file extractor, export the contents of the file to a location on your computer. When that’s finished, locate the directory where your Minecraft saves are kept. This will be different depending on the operating system of your computer. If you’re not sure where to look, use the table below:
OS | Location |
Windows | %APPDATA%\.minecraft |
macOS | ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft |
Linux | ~/.minecraft |
Just place the Spooner Street folder into your saves folder and just select the save from your Minecraft single player saves list.
The same process applies for multiplayer too, but the location of your saves folder is always different depending on what client or server software you use.
