Minecraft has a lot of animations, but does it have…enough? Is that even possible? If you’re the type of player who likes more animation than a jittery flipbook, then boy do we have the pack for you. Keep reading to hear about Faithful – Animated Environment and how it will bring new life into your Minecraft worlds.
What is Faithful – Animated Environment 1.15 Texture Pack?
Faithful – Animated Environment 1.15 Texture Pack is a lively pack, to say the least. In this pack, a lot of new animated textures are added in order to expand upon the game’s ability to immerse you within its world. On this front, it succeeds. However, there are a couple of negatives that keep the pack from reaching its potential.
Is Faithful – Animated Environment 1.15 Texture Pack a good pack?
Yes! But that comes with a couple of caveats. See, while Faithful – Animated Environment is a fun little pack to have installed, there are just a couple of annoying bugbears that make it so I can’t recommend it to absolutely everyone.
Let’s start with the good. One of the biggest positives gained by having Faithful – Animated Environment installed means that the world of Minecraft is a lot more immersive. The newly added textures mean that lots of the world feel more alive.
However, the detail in the pack’s animated textures is where the pack suffers. Now, thanks to the pack’s upgrade to 32×32 resolution, the new textures have a nice amount of extra detail and fidelity compared to the default game. Except that’s the main issue. Because of the increase in texture resolution, the pack clashes with the rest of the game. Since the pack doesn’t affect most of the game’s textures, most of the pack is in 16×16 while the extra textures are 32×32.
That said, the newly added textures do have a lot of character. Examples such as the turtle egg are incredibly idiosyncratic and very quirky, however, they can be somewhat distracting when left in your Hotbar, especially with multiple moving textures on-screen at the same time.
One bonus with the pack’s design is that it can be easily stacked on top of other resource packs in order to create a bespoke visual experience.
I’d definitely recommend this pack to players who enjoy the more idiosyncratic side of resource packs. It’s clearly got something to offer among most other packs, but it most certainly is not for every single kind of player.
What’s great about Faithful – Animated Environment 1.15 Texture Pack:

What’s not great about Faithful – Animated Environment 1.15 Texture Pack:
X Texture resolution clashes with vanilla game resolution
